Gone Fishing (Short Film—2014)
Gone Fishing is a comically horrific story of imagination run wild, situated somewhere between Rod Serling and Chuck Jones.
Our hero, a middle-aged fisherman, has found a perfect fishing spot, a quiet little lake all for himself. Or is it? Suddenly he spots another rowboat floating at the other end of the lake, apparently adrift.
Then, someone stretches their bare leg up from the other boat, reaches for the sun, and sinks back into the boat.
What’s going on? The fisherman’s mind runs wild with possibilities—an attractive woman? his daughter? his son? He goes to investigate, and discovers—too late—that sometimes when you think you’re the fisherman, you’re actually the fish.
